Cross country
Boomerang’s cross-country schooling course has been carefully developed to offer safe, well-built fences in a friendly, well-run environment. It is designed to suit a wide range of horses and riders — from those having their first cross-country experiences and Pony Club members, to riders preparing for 5 * competition.
The course includes a varied selection of fences, including two water complexes with plenty of space to develop canter and confidence in the water, along with Trakehners, ditches, steps, skinnies and a range of spooky questions. The fences are designed to help build bold, confident horses while still providing enough variety to support more focused schooling.
There is ample space across the course, and it is not cluttered, allowing horses to travel forward to their fences. Heights range from approximately 30cm through to intermediate-plus level, making the course suitable for a broad mix of horses, riders and training goals.
Jumps are moved regularly, so no two visits are ever the same. By request, fences can also be repositioned to help you school a specific problem or prepare for an upcoming competition.
Ground conditions are a priority at Boomerang. The course is well cared for and regularly maintained, with close attention paid to going and the preparation of take-offs and landings, to help provide consistent, reliable footing.
Whether you are introducing a young horse to cross-country, building confidence, or fine-tuning for competition, Boomerang offers a safe, enjoyable and well-kept setting for cross-country schooling.
