Boomerang Stables Limited Disclaimer & Conditions.

Last updated: January 2026

Horse riding and being around horses is a risk activity. Horses are unpredictable and accidents can happen and may cause serious injury or worse. By entering Boomerang Stables or using any of our facilities, you are confirming that you understand these risks and agree to follow the conditions below.

1. Riding is at your own risk

Everyone who rides, handles horses, or comes onto the yard does so entirely at their own risk. Boomerang Stables Ltd is not responsible for injury, loss, damage, illness, or accidents involving riders, horses, children, spectators, vehicles, trailers, equipment, or personal property where these arise from the normal risks of being around horses and riding. All horses, vehicles, and equipment are brought onto the premises at the owner’s risk. Nothing in these conditions removes or limits liability where the law says liability cannot be excluded. (for example, if injury was caused by negligence).

2. Health & ability

By riding here, you are confirming that you are physically and medically fit to ride, your horse is fit and suitable, and you understand that horse riding is dangerous. You are responsible for staying within your own and your horse’s limits.

3. Safety equipment

While mounted, all riders must always wear a current standard riding hat, must not use fixed-peak hats on the cross-country course, must wear a body protector when using the cross-country course, and must wear suitable riding footwear. It is your responsibility to make sure all safety equipment fits correctly and is in good condition. Anyone not following these rules may be asked to leave, with no refund.

3. Supervision & under-18s

All riders must be accompanied by a responsible person (mounted or on foot) who has a mobile phone and is able call for help in an emergency. First aid knowledge is strongly advised. Riders aged 12 and under must be with a suitably qualified instructor or recognized organization. A parent alone is not sufficient unless suitably qualified. Riders aged 13–18 must be accompanied by and remain under the supervision of a responsible adult. Any rider under 18 must have the knowledge and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts responsibility for them at all times.

5. Use of the cross-country course & jumps

All cross-country fences are colour coded as a guide to assist riders/instructors of their recommended level:
White tipped/no marker flags – 30cm-60cm
Orange tipped/marker- 70cm-BE 80/Grass roots
Pink-tipped/marked flags – BE 90/100/Grass roots
Yellow-tipped/ marked flags – BE Novice level fences
Green-tipped/marked flags – BE intermediate level and above
Blue tipped/marked Flags Advanced / international standard combinations or related lines.
Only attempt fences suitable for you and your horse.
Boomerang Stables may stop any rider attempting fences we believe are unsafe.
Any fence marked with crossed flags must not be jumped.
Directional fences must be jumped with the red flag on
the right and white on the left. Double white flags mean the fence is one-way only.
All jumps are optional.
You are responsible for checking ground conditions, fences, weather, and overall suitability before riding.
By riding here, you accept the facilities and conditions as they are on the day.

6. Behaviour & care of the premises

Dogs must be always kept on leads. Any damage must be reported immediately. Riders and spectators must behave sensibly and considerately. All gates to the cross-country course and lorry park must be kept closed. We may ask anyone to leave for unsafe behaviour, reckless riding, poor conduct, or mistreatment of horses. No refunds will be given.

7. Insurance & first aid

Anyone teaching or instructing must hold public liability insurance of at least £2 million. Anyone bringing paid staff or grooms must have suitable employers’ liability insurance. Riders are strongly advised to have veterinary and personal accident cover. We do not provide first aid cover or equipment. Riders and organisers are responsible for their own first aid provision.

8. Closure of facilities & refusal of access

Facilities may be closed or restricted at short notice due to weather, ground conditions, maintenance, or safety concerns. We reserve the right to refuse entry, cancel bookings, close facilities, or ask anyone to leave at any time.

9. Acceptance of these conditions

By entering the premises or making a booking, you confirm that you have read and understood these conditions, accept that riding is a risk activity, agree to follow all safety rules, and are responsible for the behaviour and safety of any person attending with you, including children and spectators.
